Production
Here at IRC, we try to make the safety card production process as
simple as possible. Many times its as easy as sending us your
current safety card version(s) via email or fax. We will take your
current version(s) and create a custom card using our highly tested
artwork. If you are starting from scratch, we have a simple
questionnaire we go through with you which answers everything we
need in order to send you a proof for review. 99% of all our proofs
are sent out within 24 hours.
After a proof has been reviewed and approved, we send your cards to
our Heidelberg, 4-color, offset press for production. Once on the
press, the artist who worked on your card reviews it one
more time before the complete production process begins.
When production is finished and your cards are boxed up, we will
ship them to any destination in the world. We can ship the cards to
one location or split the order and ship to numerous locations.
Testing
Every sequence we create here at IRC is tested for
understandability. Our testing procedure begins by printing out the
new sequence on a full safety card. After the card is printed we
create a 5-10 question test, which asks direct questions about the
new sequence and the card as a whole. An independent party is then
hired to take the card out "on the street" and test 40 diverse
individuals. If the sequence is not understood by more than 90% of
those tested, we will redesign and retest the sequence until it
meets those requirements. We are confident calling our safety cards
the most comprehensive cards in the world. No other safety card
company tests, holds their cards to such a high standard, or has the
length of experience in this industry.
